Overview

Optimus is Tesla's general purpose humanoid robot, a roughly 173-centimeter bipedal machine that runs on the same vision-based, end-to-end neural-network AI lineage as Tesla's Full Self-Driving system. For an investor, it is the single largest forward-looking driver in Tesla's bull case: Elon Musk has stated it could eventually be about 80% of the company's value, recasting a carmaker as a robotics company.
